Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all hire agreements between SMÜG Sauna Events ("we", "us", "our") and the customer ("you"). By confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit and written confirmation from us.

2.2 The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the hire start date. Failure to pay the balance by this date may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the deposit.

2.3 Prices quoted are inclusive of delivery, setup, and collection within the agreed service area. Additional delivery charges may apply for locations beyond our standard coverage zone and will be clearly stated in your quote.

3. Cancellation

3.1 More than 14 days before hire start: Full refund of any amount paid beyond the deposit.

3.2 8–14 days before hire start: Deposit is forfeit. No additional charge.

3.3 Within 7 days of hire start: 50% of the total hire fee is charged.

3.4 Within 48 hours of hire start: Full hire fee is charged.

3.5 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings in the event of extreme weather conditions, mechanical failure, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or alternative date at no extra cost.

4. Rescheduling

4.1 You may request to reschedule your booking free of charge, provided notice is given more than 7 days before the hire start date. Subject to availability.

4.2 A £25 administration fee applies for rescheduling requests made within 7 days of the hire start date.

5. Site Requirements & Access

5.1 You are responsible for ensuring the site is suitable for delivery and setup as described on our hire page. Failure to meet minimum requirements may result in cancellation without refund.

5.2 You must obtain any necessary permissions from landowners, local authorities, or venue operators before booking.

5.3 You must ensure clear vehicle access to within 20 metres of the setup location.

6. Use of the Sauna

6.1 The sauna is provided for leisure use only. Commercial resale of sauna sessions without our prior written consent is not permitted.

6.2 You are responsible for ensuring all guests use the sauna safely and in accordance with the health and safety guidelines provided on delivery.

6.3 The sauna must not be used under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

6.4 Children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when using the sauna.

6.5 Maximum occupancy is 8 persons at any one time.

6.6 You must not leave the stove unattended while burning. The stove must be allowed to cool and the fire fully extinguished before collection.

7. Damage & Loss

7.1 You are responsible for any damage to the sauna, stove, accessories, or our property during the hire period, exceeding normal fair wear and tear.

7.2 We will assess any damage at collection. Repair or replacement costs will be invoiced to you and are due within 14 days.

7.3 We carry public liability insurance. You are advised to consider your own liability and event insurance.

8. Health & Safety

8.1 Use of the sauna is at the customer's own risk. We provide written health and safety guidelines with every booking.

8.2 Sauna use is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or epilepsy, or who have recently consumed alcohol. If in doubt, consult a GP.

8.3 We accept no liability for personal injury, illness, or death arising from misuse of the sauna or failure to follow our health and safety guidelines.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Our liability to you is limited to the total hire fee paid. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
